Contact photo jpg too large to display or not in supported format.

Problem:

When opening Contact or Client profile that has a linked photo, an error may occur.

Cause:

Outdated runtime file if using a MSAccess 2003 runtime to run ProTracker Advantage AND also running Office 2013. 

Solution:

Update to the 2010 runtime following the steps below.

 

Use the 2010 MSAccess runtime file to run the program using the following steps:

 

1. Download/Save/Run the 2010 runtime from here: http://www.protracker.com/Download/Tools/AccessRuntime2010.exe

2. Go to the ProTracker Advantage desktop shortcut. Right-click > Properties > Shortcut tab. In the Target field, replace all the text with one of the strings (including quotes) listed below:

32 bit workstation

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\Program Files\ProTracker Advantage\Advantage.mde"

64 bit workstation

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\Program Files (x86)\ProTracker Advantage\Advantage.mde"

 

3. Open or restart ProTracker. You may get a "can't find menu" error message the first time you open ProTracker Advantage. If so, just close and restart and it should load just fine.
